Hawaii Uninsured Project

In partnership with the State Department of Health and the University of Hawaii’s Social Science Research Institute, HIPA spearheaded the Hawaii Uninsured Project to develop a research-based knowledge of Hawaii’s rising uninsured population.  Among other things, the project characterized the uninsured, examined costs and benefits of various models of coverage, identified barriers to care, and assessed the impact that a lack of coverage had on the uninsured and the community-at-large.  Learn more at www.healthcoveragehawaii.org
